  • It is the hirer's responsibility to provide items such as tea towels, and to ensure that dirty tea towels are not left in the kitchen

  • Rubbish should be taken away by the hirer as the hall does not have the facilities to safely dispose of it (especially nappies!) Please do not put hirer rubbish in the council bins in the Village Hall carpark

  • Please ensure that ALL toilets have been flushed properly at the end of your hire!

Lower Broadheath Village Hall is a non-profit making charity, regulated by the Charity Commission. It is funded solely by hiring the hall for recreational purposes.  The Hall is not owned by, or financially supported by Lower Broadheath Parish Council.

The Hall is run by a Management Committee who are Trustees of the charity, and whose primary duty is to ensure that the Hall is properly maintained, and to use the hiring fees to provide for its upkeep and improvement.

Unfortunately due to a significant increase in the Hall's energy bills, the Management Committee had to conduct it's first price review in 5 years. Whilst the Committee managed to maintain a price freeze throughout the entire Covid 19 pandemic and into 2022, the Hall now needs to account for the vastly increased running costs. The pricing structure has been compared with similar local venues to try and ensure it remains as competitive as possible.

The new hire rates come into effect from 1st January 2023.
