SHORT MAT BOWLS

Short mat bowls is an indoor sport in which players attempt to score points by rolling a heavy ball along a fairly flat mat, to gain as many shots as possible by getting their bowls nearer to the jack than their opponents, and so outscore them.

 

One on our most longstanding groups, Lower Broadheath Short Mat Bowls meet weekly on Thursdays in the Main Hall between 2pm - 4pm

SWEATY MAMA

Sweaty Mama is a unique and effective way to exercise with your child - no need to organise childcare! A fab, fun workout to upbeat music both you and your child will love! Rachel is a pre and post natal fitness specialist, running classes for all fitness abilities every Friday 10.30am - 11.30am in the Main Hall. A great way to bond with your baby, toddler or preschooler while enjoying some exercise!

GARDENING CLUB

The Lower Broadheath Gardening Society usually meets in the main hall at 7.30pm on the last Tuesday of the month. Annual membership is £10 with visitor tickets available for £3. The gardening club hosts a range of guest speakers throughout the year, as well as holding Annual Spring and Autumn shows with afternoon teas.​

PK YOGA

​

A flowing yoga practice using rhythmic breathing to support the movements and calm the mind. Suitable for all levels of ability, men and women, young and old.

Class starts at 7pm every Tuesday, followed by tea, hot chocolate or coffee (there may even be biscuits!)

Come along, get a little zen in your life and and make friends.

Mats provided, you just need comfy clothes and a bottle of water. Book here.

WEST MIDLAND BELL ENSEMBLE

​

The West Midland Sunday Five-Octave Workshop meets on the first Sunday of the month in the Large Hall from 10.30am - 4pm. The current repertoire covers early classical to modern, written and arranged by leading arrangers in the handbell playing world. Anyone who wants the challenge of playing at this scale is welcome. There is no audition process; all you need is a desire to have fun, work hard and make progress.

COFFEE AND CHAT

On the third Tuesday of every month, you are invited to pop along to the small hall between 10am and 12noon for a free hot drink and some friendly company!

You are more than welcome to bring children and dogs along with you too. No need to book, just come through the side entrance and say hello!

WEAVERS, SPINNERS & DYERS

​

On the second Saturday of every month, the Worcestershire Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers meet in the Large Hall from 10am - 4pm. Visitors are always most welcome and may attend one DIY meeting free of charge and a second at a cost of £3 before making a commitment to join the Guild. 

Tea, coffee and biscuits are available, for which a £2 donation is appreciated and members bring a packed lunch.

WORCESTER CHRYSANTHEMUM & DAHLIA SOCIETY

The Worcester & District Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society are a small group of enthusiastic growers and exhibitors of flowers and vegetables. Membership to the Society is open to all, both novice and experienced gardeners, our aim is to share knowledge of growing and exhibiting flowers and vegetables. BABIES AND TODDLERS

​​​

Lower Broadheath Baby & Toddler group runs every Wednesday during term time from 10am - 11.30am. Entrance fee is £3.50 for one adult and child (plus 50p for each additional adult/child) which includes hot drinks for adults, squash & biscuits for children and quite often a craft item to take home too! Plenty of toys, books, ride-ons and play equipment, plus a baby area for the really little ones. The craft table and tuff tray offer opportunities for sensory & messy play, and sessions always finish with a sing along! For more information join the Facebook Group

RAINBOWS & BROWNIES

​Rainbows is exciting, messy, friendly and a lot of fun! Suitable for girls age 4-7, they learn by getting their hands dirty, doing sports, arts and crafts and playing games. Brownies is an adventurous journey that girls age 7-10 take with their friends as they discover the world around them. Brownies work on earning badges, learning new skills, playing games and developing new friendships. 

Rainbows and Brownies meet on Wednesday evenings, 5pm - 7.30pm

​Long established art class suitable for all abilities. Beginner - advanced, all levels nurtured professionally by qualified teacher and exhibiting artist Becky Newell.
